Music in Częstochowa: dozens of concerts in the calendar, from the Częstochowa Philharmonic and the Politechnik Club to clubs, a sports hall and a museum.
For people who visit Częstochowa for more than Jasna Góra and want to spend an evening at a concert. The calendar shows classical halls as well as student clubs and a few unusual addresses.
Two places have the most entries: the Częstochowa Philharmonic and the Academic Culture Centre, known as the Politechnik Club. The philharmonic also appears with its chamber hall, named several times. Since both halls have separate entries, you can choose a big programme or a smaller, more personal evening.
Single entries belong to the Sports Hall, La Gondola - Pizzeria and Club, the ArtCITY Conference Centre and Klub Muzyczna Meta. Surprisingly, the Museum of Coins and Medals of John Paul II also figures among music venues. The character of each event is settled by its description.
The Politechnik Club is sometimes written in several ways, for example with a note about the Częstochowa University of Technology. It is one place, so what counts is the event's address, not the name alone.
An article on Częstochowa without the pilgrimage describes museums, parks, the philharmonic and the reserve of Lusatian culture, so it is easy to build a day of sightseeing crowned with an evening in a concert hall.
Those who like history will find a text on Jasna Góra as a fortress, with its fortifications and a siege of almost forty days in 1655, and an account of the Częstochowa Steelworks, founded in 1896-1902.
