A wooden post-construction bell tower from 1679, on the wooden architecture trail of the Silesian Voivodeship.
The wooden bell tower stands in the centre of Paczyna, by the Church of St Martin, and dates from 1679. It is a listed monument and at the same time a site on the wooden architecture trail of the Silesian Voivodeship.
The bell tower was built next to a wooden church, which was pulled down in 1931. In its place the present brick parish church was built, and the bell tower survived as the oldest element of this complex. It was built on a square plan in post construction, on a foundation of fieldstones. The walls narrow towards the top and are clad in boards. The whole is crowned by a belfry stage, above which rises a shingled tent roof.
In 1975 conservation work was carried out: the foundations were strengthened and the cladding and shingles were replaced.
