An eclectic church from 1931-1933, damaged in the flood of 1997, with a grotto from Banneux.
The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Buków, at Główna 24, was built in 1931-1933 in the eclectic style. It is a brick church with a single nave and a single bell tower.
Originally Buków had a wooden chapel from 1770. When it proved too small for about 350 parishioners, construction of a larger church began in 1931, completed in 1933. The church was blessed by Fr Wilhelm Kasperlik.
In the chancel there is a painting of Mary by Ludwik Konarzewski of Istebna, showing Mary with St Florian and St John of Nepomuk. A branch parish was established on 1 February 1959, and an independent parish on 15 March 1981. The church suffered badly in the millennium flood of 1997. Behind the church, in 2000, a grotto was built with a figure of Our Lady of the Poor of Banneux.
About 2 kilometres from the church lies the Wielikąt nature and landscape complex, and less than 2.5 kilometres away the palace in Krzyżanowice.
