A reinforced-concrete parish church of 1978-1981 in Brudzowice, with the painting Our Lady of the Cosmos in the altar.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Brudzowice is a parish church of 1978-1981, in the Siewierz deanery of the Diocese of Sosnowiec. It stands at ul. Przykościelna 44, a few kilometres from Siewierz Castle.
The parish was separated from the parish of St Matthias the Apostle in Siewierz in August 1977. Until the construction was finished, a temporary chapel served it. The building permit was issued in June 1978, the design was made by the Kraków construction engineer Franciszek Kozłowski, and the foundation stone was blessed in September of the same year. The lower church was brought into use first, and the cross crowning the tower was fixed in March 1980. The blessing of the church falls in 1981, and the consecration in September 1988.
The structure is reinforced concrete, and the building has two levels: the lower and the upper church, with a catechetical room and a parish office beside them. The tower, triangular at the base, is 22 metres high. In the high altar hangs the painting Our Lady of the Cosmos (Matka Boża Kosmiczna) by the Katowice painter Andrzej Kowalski, who also made the Stations of the Cross. In 1992 three bells were bought.
The area is usually visited together with the Bishops' Castle in Siewierz, which is about 5 km from Brudzowice.
