A Late Baroque brick church from 1780 with a painting of the beheading of St John the Baptist in the main altar.
The Church of the Beheading of St John the Baptist in Pilchowice is a Late Baroque brick church, completed in 1780 and entered in the heritage register. It has a single nave, one tower and three altars.
Construction of the present church was completed in 1780, and it was consecrated a year later. In the main altar hangs an 18th-century painting showing the beheading of St John the Baptist; it is a copy of a painting by Michael Willmann from the Church of St Vincent in Wrocław.
In June 1978 three new bells, blessed by the Bishop of Opole Alfons Nossol, were hung in the tower. For the bicentenary of the church in 1980 the interior was thoroughly renovated and repainted, and the same bishop then consecrated the altar and the church.
