A Baroque-Neoclassical parish church in Szczekociny from the 17th century, rebuilt around 1780, with the epitaph of the Dembiński family.
St Bartholomew the Apostle's Church stands on Plac Panny Marii in Szczekociny. It is a brick Baroque-Neoclassical church, built in the 17th century and entered in the heritage register.
The church was blessed in 1666, and the north chapel was added in 1678. Around 1780 the church was thoroughly rebuilt on the initiative of Urszula Dembińska née Morsztyn, and the south chapel was added in 1892. During the Second World War the building was destroyed, and it was rebuilt after the war. In 1991 the sculptures and altars were conserved and the chancel was rebuilt.
The church has one rectangular nave and a chancel of the same width. It is accompanied by two towers, one of which is free-standing.
There are three altars here. The high altar contains paintings of the Virgin and Child, of St Bartholomew and of St Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. In the side chapel the family epitaph of the Dembiński family, later owners of Szczekociny, has survived.
About seven kilometres from here stands the palace in Nakło.
