Brick Lutheran church from 1863-1865, designed by the Viennese architect Horky.
The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Lutheran (Evangelical Augsburg) church in Skoczów, built of brick on Wilamowice Hill. It is the parish church of the local Lutheran parish.
In 1850 the Lutherans of Skoczów set up a building committee. The land for the church was donated by a local farmer, and the design was prepared by the Viennese architect Horky. The approval of the plans took two years, and work began in 1863. It was supported by many donors, among them Baron Zobel of Grodziec Śląski, and even the Prussian king Wilhelm I. The church was built within two years and was consecrated on 1 November 1865 by the Silesian-Moravian superintendent.
The building is of brick and is listed in the heritage register. The register dates it to 1863, the start of construction, and the entries from 1969 and 1978 were supplemented in 2022.
Half a kilometre away stands the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, and in nearby Górki Wielkie is the Zofia Kossak-Szatkowska Museum.
