Bench of Karolinka and Karlik in Chorzów

The Bench of Karolinka and Karlik is a sculpture in the Rosarium in the Silesian Park of Culture and Recreation in Chorzów. It shows a bench on which Karlik and Karolinka sit, with a pigeon perched on its backrest.

Author and unveiling

The author is the Poznań sculptor Robert Sobociński. The sculpture was ceremonially unveiled on 16 September 2005 at 4 p.m., in the presence of the mayors of Katowice, Chorzów and Siemianowice Śląskie. It was funded by the Tyskie Breweries.

Nearby

The bench stands in the grounds of the Silesian Park, and the Silesian Zoological Garden is about 500 m away. Nearby lies also the Silesian Planetarium.
