Stanisław Hadyna Bench in Koszęcin

The Stanisław Hadyna Bench stands in the courtyard of the palace that houses the seat of the “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble. The sculpture shows the composer and founder of the ensemble life-size, seated on a wide garden bench, with a pipe and sheet music beside him.

Author and unveiling

The monument was designed by the Kraków sculptor Marek Maślaniec and unveiled in 2006. The same author created the Hadyna bench in Wisła (2010). Another one, with the poet Zdzisław Pyzik, was placed in 2019 in the market square in Siewierz, as a work by Agnieszka and Marek Maślaniec.
