Private museum in Krzepice with historical mementos, militaria and artistic crafts, open by appointment.
The Regional Museum of the Chmielarski Brothers in Krzepice is a private collection of historical mementos, gathered since the 1960s by the Chmielarski brothers and opened to visitors as a museum in 1991. It is housed in their home in Krzepice, in Kłobuck County.
The collection includes exhibits related to sacred art, folk sculpture and artistic crafts, as well as to mining and metallurgy. There are military and folk costumes, militaria from both world wars, and mementos of Józef Piłsudski. Among the most interesting exhibits are a fragment of a Turkish tent from the 1683 siege of Vienna, a marble table at which, according to tradition, the convention of the Three Emperors' League was concluded in 1873, and a piece of the chain and padlock used in 1967 to lock the gate of the cathedral in Sosnowiec during the celebrations of the Millennium of Poland's Baptism.
