Neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic parish church in Stare Tarnowice, built in 1899-1902 to a design by Ludwig Schneider.
The New Church of St Martin is a parish church in Stare Tarnowice, a district of Tarnowskie Góry, in the Stare Tarnowice deanery of the Diocese of Gliwice. It is on the town's municipal heritage register.
The construction contract was signed on 5 June 1899 by the parish and its patron, Count Guido Henckel von Donnersmarck, who covered the entire cost. The church was designed and personally supervised by Ludwig Schneider. The foundation stone was laid on 24 September 1899, the shell was completed on 5 November 1901, and the church was blessed on 25 August 1902.
The church has three naves and a hall plan, with a semicircular chancel lower than the main nave. To the south rises a large, square tower with a spire and an octagonal stair turret. In the gallery stands a two-manual organ from 1906 by the Gliwice workshop of Ernst Kurzer, with a neo-Romanesque case.
Right next to it stand the ruins of the castle in Stare Tarnowice.
