Neoclassical palace from the early 19th century in Kochanowice, housing a primary school since the 1930s.
The palace in Kochanowice, a village in Lubliniec County, was built in the early 19th century in the neoclassical style. Since the 1930s it has served as a school.
The palace was built on a rectangular plan, has two storeys and a mansard roof. The eleven-bay facade has a central three-bay, three-storey projection decorated with pilasters and lesenes. Above the entrance a cartouche with the coat of arms of the von Aulock family has survived.
The von Aulock family owned the palace in 1817-1928. In 1929 the District Land Office in Katowice parcelled out the estate, and in 1932 a six-grade primary school with a one-class continuation school was opened in the palace. After the Second World War the school continued to operate. The Kochanowicki Grąd nature reserve lies nearby.
