A reservoir on the Konopka river, with a scout centre and triathlon competitions, in the buffer zone of a landscape park.
The Pająk Reservoir is a storage reservoir in Konopiska, in Częstochowa County, created by damming the Konopka river. It is used for recreation, and the Polish Triathlon Cup is held at the reservoir.
The “Pająk” Scout Centre of the Częstochowa Scout District of the ZHP operates by the reservoir. Construction of the centre began in 1974, and in 1979 work started on building the reservoir on the Konopka. It was looked after by the management of the “Barbara” Iron Ore Mine until the mine was closed. In August 1991 the Jamboree of the 80th Anniversary of Polish Scouting was held here.
The reservoir lies in the buffer zone of the Forests above the Upper Liswarta Landscape Park. White water lily and yellow water lily grow in the water, and the area is home to many species of amphibians, among them the great crested newt, the fire-bellied toad, the European tree frog and the natterjack toad.
