A historic boundary mound in the fields between Syrynia, Grabówka and Lubomia, raised anew in 1793-1794, with a stone dated 1822.
The boundary mound stands on the boundary of the fields of three villages: Syrynia, Grabówka and Lubomia in Wodzisław County. It is a historic embankment raised anew probably in 1793-1794, and at its foot lies a stone with the date 1822.
The embankment was built most probably in 1793-1794, when it was raised anew. At the foot of the mound, on a large stone, the date 1822 and the inscription “Lipa Zofii” (in German “Sophien Linde 1822”) are carved. It is said to commemorate Zofia Lichnowska.
One local legend says that during the Swedish wars there were so many soldiers that each of them, leaving here, threw a little soil with his sabre as a farewell, and so the mound came into being. This is a folk tradition, not an established historical fact.
