A neo-Gothic chapel from the early 20th century in Bytom, renovated after mining damage.
The Chapel of Help of the Faithful (Kaplica Wspomożenia Wiernych) is a neo-Gothic chapel on Strzelców Bytomskich Street in Bytom. It was built around 1905, although exact data are lacking, and the building appears on a map from 1916. It is not known who designed it.
The chapel is of brick, plastered, free-standing and not oriented. The facade is crowned by a triangular gable with a metal cross, and the interior is covered by a barrel vault. In the 1960s the building was thoroughly renovated after mining damage. After a break-in at the end of the 1990s, most of the furnishings were taken to his own church by the parish priest of the nearby parish of St Joseph. Today inside there is a kneeler and an image of the Virgin Mary.
Every year the chapel is one of the stops of the Corpus Christi procession. In the area stands the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Bytom.
