A stone village chapel from the turn of the 19th century, used as a parish chapel in 1957-1968.
The Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel stands in Strzemieszyce Małe, a district of Dąbrowa Górnicza. It is a small stone chapel from the turn of the 19th century, probably built by the villagers.
The chapel was probably funded by the residents of Strzemieszyce Małe at the turn of the 19th century. It was built of limestone, with a gabled roof. Originally it had a shingle roof and a turret with a small dome.
In 1957-1968 it served as the parish chapel of the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Strzemieszyce Małe. A fire on 19 April 1959 damaged the building; afterwards the roof was repaired, bells and electrical wiring were installed, and a larger renovation was carried out in 1962. Cardinal Agostino Casaroli visited the chapel on 21 February 1967.
The chapel contains three processional standards from the 18th and 19th centuries, two crucifixes from the same period and a sculpture of St Francis.
