A wooden octagonal chapel from around 1700, on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Voivodeship.
The wooden chapel dedicated to St John of Nepomuk stands in Lubomia, in Wodzisław County, at the junction of Polna and św. Jana Nepomucena streets. It was built around 1700, when the village belonged to the Reiswitz family, and belongs to the parish of St Mary Magdalene in Lubomia.
The chapel has a log construction and is clad in boards on the outside. Its plan is an octagon, and above the building rises a tent roof with an octagonal roof turret topped by a lantern and a bulbous cupola. The interior is a single space with a false, eight-field vault. The door has Gothic features, and its opening is closed by a trefoil arch. Inside stands a 19th-century figure of St John of Nepomuk.
The chapel is a listed monument, and the voivodeship has included it among the sites of the Wooden Architecture Trail. The green Gołężyce Trail and the yellow cycling route no. 316 pass nearby. The much larger Church of St Mary Magdalene in Lubomia lies about 400 metres away.
