AKT Dobrodziej Hut

The AKT "Dobrodziej" hut, formerly the Builders' Hut (Chatka Budowlańców), stands in the Witasówka clearing above Sopotnia Wielka in the Żywiec Beskids, in the Pilsko and Romanka Group. It was a mountain student hut, and today it is a private facility.

Where the name comes from and who stayed here

For a long time the facility was managed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, hence the former name Chatka Budowlańców (Builders' Hut).

Conditions of stay

The hut has 30 beds in multi-person rooms, a kitchen, a dining room and bathrooms. Not far away runs the trail from Sopotnia Wielka to Hala Miziowa, and in the area lies the waterfall in Sopotnia.
