The design was made by Wacław Moskalik, and construction began in 1957. The church was extended in 1982-1983 and 1993-1994. The blessing was performed on 21 October 2001 by the Bishop of Sosnowiec, Adam Śmigielski.
Inside there are three altars. The high altar has a painting of Christ the King surrounded by saints. The interior was designed by Jan Funk.
