A cemetery chapel of 1905-1906 designed by Albert Dostal, today the parish church of the Pastwiska district.
The Church of Divine Providence is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Cieszyn deanery of the Diocese of Bielsko-Żywiec. It stands in the Cieszyn district of Pastwiska. It began as a cemetery chapel.
The church was built in 1905-1906 as a cemetery chapel to a design by the architect Albert Dostal. The construction was initiated by Jan Zawada of Boguszowice, a long-standing member of the municipal board, who also donated the land for the building. The church was a rectorial church and belonged to the parish of St Mary Magdalene in Cieszyn, and since 29 January 1978 it has been an independent parish church.
In 1978 the interior was painted to a design by the parish priest and the roof was renovated, and in September three bells were installed. In the chancel, stained-glass windows designed by Edmund Czarnecki of Katowice were installed in 1979, and in 2016 seven more, made in the workshop of Damian Szyszka in Pszczyna. The roof was covered with copper in 2009. The Stations of the Cross found in the cellars of the church were also restored.
