Brick parish church from 1882-1890 in Dziedzice, extended in the interwar period, with an organ from 1963.
The Church of Our Lady Help of Christians stands in the Dziedzice district of Czechowice-Dziedzice. It is a brick parish church built in 1882-1890 and extended in the interwar period.
Work began in 1882, and the church was solemnly consecrated on 22 June 1890 by Bishop Franciszek Śniegoń of Cieszyn. An independent parish was established in 1899. Thanks to the efforts of Fr Karol Frank the church was extended in the interwar period to its present size and was consecrated again in 1938. In the 1990s a thorough renovation was carried out, during which a stained-glass window with an image of Our Lady Help of Christians, designed by Robert Przebinda, was installed above the entrance.
The church had a pipe organ from the beginning. The first was an instrument by Jan Śliwiński of Lviv, damaged during the Second World War and destroyed by woodworm. The present organ was built by the firm of Włodzimierz Truszczyński of Warsaw, and the work was completed in 1963. The sound of the instrument has been presented, among other occasions, at music festivals. Four bells hang in the tower, three of which have names.
