A brick church from 1908-1911, Neo-Gothic with Neo-Romanesque touches, with a Baroque-style interior.
The Church of Our Lady of the Scapular and St Dorothy in Przyrów is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Olsztyn deanery of the Archdiocese of Częstochowa. It was built of red brick in the Neo-Gothic style with Neo-Romanesque features.
The church was built in 1908-1911 thanks to the efforts of Father Edward Bendkowski. It was consecrated on 29 October 1911 by Bishop Stanisław Zdzitowiecki of Włocławek. In the 20th century the church was renovated several times. A thorough renovation in 1958-1964 was carried out under the parish priest Wincenty Szymczyk. Later two stained-glass windows appeared in the chancel: one with St Dorothy, the patron saint of the church, and one with St Hedwig the Queen, funded to commemorate her canonisation in 1997.
The building is monumental and made of brick. The interior is furnished in the Baroque style, with a columned high altar. The furnishings include Baroque sculptures and paintings.
Nearby, half a kilometre away, is the Jewish cemetery in Przyrów.
