Brick church from 1926-1927 in Ziemięcice with late Baroque and Rococo furnishings and a Rieger organ.
The Church of St Hedwig in Ziemięcice stands at ulica Mikulczycka 16. It is a brick parish church built in 1926-1927, whose interior is decorated with late Baroque and Rococo furnishings from the former, abandoned church.
The designer was Theodor Ehl of Bytom. The church was consecrated on 6 June 1927 by Cardinal Adolf Bertram. It has three naves, a transept and a barrel vault. It was renovated in 1974 and 2005.
Relics of St Hedwig have rested in the altar since 1974. The polychromy was painted in 1949-1950 by Wincenty Mrzygłoda. The organ of 1930 was built by Gebrüder Rieger of Krnov (11 stops, two manuals and a pedalboard, with pneumatic action), reusing the case of an instrument by Franz Josef Weiss from 1792. The parish belongs to the Pyskowice deanery of the Diocese of Gliwice.
