A Lutheran church in Bładnice, built in 1993-1999 to a design by Edward Kisiel.
The Church of St Paul the Apostle in Bładnice is a Lutheran (Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession) place of worship built in the 1990s, after a century of a more modest cemetery chapel.
Bładnice originally belonged to the Lutheran parish in Ustroń. In 1900 a chapel was built in the local cemetery, and in 1924 two bells cast in Bochum were hung in it. A Lutheran school operated here from 1873, and in 1875 it was turned into a public one.
A new parish house was consecrated on 13 June 1992. Construction of the church began on 18 April 1993, the foundation stone was laid on 27 June 1993, and the lower church was consecrated on 9 April 1995. The whole was completed on 11 September 1999. The design was by the architect Edward Kisiel, and elements of the interior were designed by Karol Kubala. The old school building was demolished once the work was finished. In 2000 Bładnice became an independent parish.
