A monumental brick church from 1904-1913 designed by Tomasz Pajzderski and Hugo Kuder, with polychromy by Maciej Makarewicz.
The Church of St Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr in Czeladź is a monumental brick church built in 1904-1913. It is entered in the heritage register and belongs to the Czeladź deanery of the Diocese of Sosnowiec.
The architects of the design were Tomasz Pajzderski and Hugo Kuder. The heritage register describes the style as Neo-Gothic, while other descriptions say the building has Neo-Romanesque features. The church was built on the plan of a Latin cross with a polygonal chancel. Towers stand at the sides of the transept, at the crossing with the main nave and at the entrance.
The interior is notable for the polychromy by Maciej Makarewicz, made in 1963-1968, and for its rich sculptural decoration. The consecration took place only on 28 September 1958, several decades after the construction was finished.
