Brick Neo-Gothic church from 1903-1910, designed by Feliks Nowicki, with an organ by Rieger.
The Church of St Valentine in Konopiska is a Neo-Gothic brick church built in 1903-1910 to a design by Feliks Nowicki. It stands on ulica Częstochowska and is listed in the heritage register.
The resolution to build a new church was passed in 1901. In 1903 the wooden church from 1615, which had fallen into ruin despite renovations, was demolished. The site for the new building was donated by the joint-stock company B. Hantke, owner of the Konopiska estate. The church was consecrated by Bishop Stanisław Zdzitowiecki in June 1914.
The Neo-Gothic high altar was made in 1928-1930; it is decorated with figures of Saints Ladislaus, Prince Casimir and Stanislaus Kostka. The side altars and the pulpit were made by the Częstochowa sculptor Antoni Małek. The stained-glass windows with the Stations of the Cross and the Descent of the Holy Spirit were designed by Stanisław Szmuc. The Rieger organ from 1928 has 25 stops. The paintings from the former altar went to the Archdiocesan Museum in Częstochowa.
