A wooden parish church in Mikołów-Paniowy, built from 1757, with a late Renaissance altar.
The Church of Sts Peter and Paul stands in Paniowy, a district of Mikołów, on Staromiejska Street. It is a wooden church with a single nave and a single tower, whose construction began in 1757. It is entered in the heritage register.
The building of the new wooden church was financed by Katarzyna Rozyna Bujakowska. In 1830-1835 the tower was given a masonry base, and the whole church was reinforced because of damp. In 1894 a new organ was donated, because the old instrument from the late 17th or early 18th century was no longer usable. In 1925 the church became an independent parish church; before that it had been a branch of the parish of St Nicholas in Bujaków.
Inside are a late Renaissance altar, Baroque sculptures and a pulpit. The church belongs to the Archdiocese of Katowice, and the indulgence feast falls on the feast of Sts Peter and Paul.
