A late Neoclassical brick church, blessed in 1834, with a tower from 1924 and three altars.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Studzionka is a late Neoclassical church blessed in 1834. The brick and plastered building stands on ulica Jedności in Pszczyna municipality and is entered in the heritage register.
An earlier church from the 15th century stood on this site, which according to tradition burnt down on 9 July 1822. The foundation stone for the new one was laid in 1827 by the parish priest Baltazar Zimerman. Construction was interrupted by lack of funds and resumed in the spring of 1833. The blessing took place on 31 August 1834 in the presence of the Prince of Pszczyna, Ludwig von Anhalt-Köthen-Pless. The builder was Heintze of Ignatzdorf, today's Wełnowiec.
The church has a rectangular plan with a tower, a chancel and a low annexe. The tower from 1924 ends in a bulbous cap with a lantern and holds four bells. The high altar, of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, has an original stained-glass window and a crucifix from the 18th century. The other altars are in honour of St John of Nepomuk and of the Holy Rosary. The stained glass in the windows was installed at the end of the 1920s.
Not far away lies Goczałkowice Lake.
