A modern filial church of the Paczyna parish, built in 1993-2000, with a granite altar and stained glass.
The Church of the Holy Trinity in Bycina is a small, modern filial church on Kasztanowa Street, belonging to the parish of St Martin in Paczyna in the Gliwice diocese. It was built between 1993 and 2000.
The decision to build a new church was taken on 4 November 1990. The plot was donated by Helmut and Barbara Bomba, and the design and documentation were prepared by the architect Janusz Iworek of Kraków. The foundation stone was blessed on 25 September 1993 by Bishop Jan Wieczorek. The consecration was performed on 2 September 2000 by Bishop Gerard Kusz, combined with the administering of the sacrament of confirmation.
The altar is made of light granite. Above the tabernacle and the figure of Christ is a stained-glass window showing the eye of providence and a dove. There are more stained-glass windows in the church. The bells were bought as early as 1993, while construction was still under way.
The parish church in nearby Paczyna is the Church of St Martin. For visitors to the area, more interesting destinations are Toszek Castle and Dzierżno Duże.
