A brick church from 1910, built as an Evangelical church and Catholic since 1922, with historic Stations of the Cross paintings from 1949.
The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Bieruń Nowy is a former Evangelical church, built of brick in 1910 and entered in the heritage register in 2013. In 1922 it passed into Catholic hands and is still a parish church today.
In 1922 the Catholics bought the building from the Evangelicals. The church was consecrated as a Catholic church on 5 November 1922 by Father Mateusz Bielok, dean of Bieruń Stary. In 1925 an independent parish was established, and in 1925-1939 the building was extended. In 1948 a second sacristy was added and the choir enlarged, and in 1974 the decor was adapted to the reforms of the Council.
In the high altar stands a figure of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus by the Kraków artist Józef Rapała, blessed in 1958. On the side walls hang paintings of the Stations of the Cross from 1949, painted by Jan Nyga of Bieruń Stary as a copy of the work of the German painter Fuggl. To the right of the chancel there is an altar of Our Lady of Częstochowa and a painting of St Joseph with the Child, and on the left paintings of Merciful Jesus and the Baptism of Christ.
In Bieruń Stary, a few kilometres away, stand among others the Church of St Bartholomew the Apostle and the Church of St Valentine.
