A bronze figurine of a bebok girl with a cake and a wand at Gliwicka 107 in Katowice's Załęże, from 2025, part of Grzegorz Chudy's series of Katowice beboks.
Cukerzołza is a small bronze figurine of a bebok girl with a cake and a wand, placed at Gliwicka Street 107 in Katowice's Załęże. It was made in 2025 and is part of the series of Katowice beboks.
Beboks are small outdoor bronze sculptures created and initiated by the Katowice artist Grzegorz Chudy. The project has run since 2021, and there are already more than a hundred figurines, placed in Katowice and the surrounding area. They show the bebok, a demon from Slavic beliefs, as a friendly little creature with a big head, small horns, huge eyes and a round nose. The figurines were cast by a studio in Zabrze.
The bebok girl with the cake stands in front of the confectioner's at this address and refers to its trade. To find her, you have to look at pavement level, because the figurine is small.
