A Lutheran church in Dzięgielów, a former deaconesses' chapel consecrated in 1960, the parish church since 2005.
The “Eben-Ezer” Church in Dzięgielów is a Lutheran (Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession) place of worship connected with the local diaconal centre. It began as a wooden pavilion belonging to the deaconess sisters of the “Eben-Ezer” diaconate.
The chapel was consecrated on 3 July 1960. For the following decades it served the sisters and the residents of the centre. On 1 September 2005 a parish was established here and the sisters handed the chapel over to it. Since then the building has served as the parish church.
In November 2005 five bells from a closed church in Bielefeld, Germany, arrived in Dzięgielów.
The church is a place of worship for the parish, as well as for the diaconate and the Centre for Mission and Evangelisation. The Evangelisation Week in Dzięgielów takes place here. On a visit to this part of Cieszyn Silesia you can also look in at the nearby castle in Dzięgielów.
