A disused Evangelical cemetery from 1920, with a chapel and a monument to those who fell in the First World War.
The Evangelical cemetery on Starowiejska Street in Racibórz was founded in 1920 by the local Evangelical congregation, which bought a site of 1.41 ha. Today it is no longer in use, and it is looked after by the Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Rybnik.
The congregation bought the site in March 1920 because the number of the faithful was growing, and the consecration took place later the same year. The cemetery was closed in 1974. By 1984 it contained 719 graves, and it is entered in the municipal register of historic monuments of Racibórz.
On the site stands a cemetery chapel, and opposite it a monument in the form of a sarcophagus dedicated to Evangelical soldiers who fell in the First World War. The oldest burials date from 1920-1921. Free-standing gravestones in the form of rectangular slabs, crosses and architectural forms predominate. The grave of Mayor Robert Ellendt from 1927 and the gravestone of the Luthge family from 1938 with a relief of Christ stand out.
