A Franciscan religious house in Częstochowa with the parish Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, founded in 1987.
The Franciscan monastery in Częstochowa belongs to the Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Order of Friars Minor. Next to the religious house stands the parish Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Franciscan community was established in October 1987, and the parish attached to it was created in January 1988 at the request of Bishop Stanisław Nowak. The friars moved into the new monastery building in 1992, and the religious house was formally established in February 1993.
The church was blessed on 8 December 1999 and consecrated on 1 June 2010. It is therefore a young monastery, founded only after the 1980s, unlike the older monastic complexes of the city. The most famous of them, Jasna Góra, lies on the other side of the city.
