A large clearing in the Pilsko group in the Żywiec Beskids, a former mountain pasture and viewpoint towards Pilsko and Babia Góra.
Hala Malorka is a large clearing in the Pilsko group in the Żywiec-Orawa Beskids, within the village of Korbielów (Jeleśnia municipality). It lies above Hala Uszczawne, on the ridge of the Malorka peak, from which it takes its name. It is a good viewpoint.
It is a former mountain pasture. The clearing was heavily grazed, but grazing was abandoned because it was unprofitable. A remnant of pastoral farming is the ruins of a shepherds’ hut in the lower part of the clearing. The viewpoint lies at an altitude of about 1,054 m above sea level.
On the pasture there is a stop on an educational nature trail and an information board. According to the board, mat-grass dominates here, and among the many species of mountain plants there is the serrated bellflower, rare in the Żywiec Beskids.
From the clearing you can see the summit dome of Pilsko with the upper tree line, Hala Miziowa, the Romanka range, Babia Góra, the Makowski Beskids and numerous peaks of the Żywiec Beskids. To the north, in the distance, the Little Beskids are visible.
