A disused Jewish cemetery in the forest near Cieszowa, covering about 0.5 ha, with several dozen surviving gravestones.
The Jewish cemetery in Cieszowa is a disused necropolis in a forest, a few hundred metres from the village, in the Koszęcin municipality. Gravestones survive on it, but the site is partly devastated.
The cemetery was probably established before the 18th century, but the exact date of its foundation is not known. It covers about 0.5 ha. Several dozen gravestones stand on the site; until the 1990s the matzevot lay broken. In August 2008 a tornado seriously damaged the cemetery. Today it is disused and overgrown with forest, and on the entrance side the remains of the cemetery gate survive.
The village also has the former Synagogue in Cieszowa, about 1 km from the cemetery. The Palace in Koszęcin also lies in the area.
