A brick parish church in Halemba from 1948-1949, with a single nave, a tower serving as the entrance and three altars.
The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross stands in Halemba, a district of Ruda Śląska, on ul. Kochłowicka. It was built in 1948-1949 as a brick parish church.
The building lacks a distinct style and loosely refers to Modernism or Art Deco. It is a single-nave church with one tower, which is also the entrance. The roof is hipped, with diamond-shaped sections of covering. Two side chapels adjoin the nave, and a narrower and lower chancel is separated from it by a chancel arch. Inside there are three altars, and the space has the character of a hall.
The church belongs to the Archdiocese of Katowice (Kochłowice deanery). The feast of the dedication is celebrated on 14 September. The building is entered in the municipal register of monuments of Ruda Śląska.
The nearest sites are the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, about 2 km from here, and the Aquadrom.
