A neo-Gothic parish church in Lipowa built in 1894-1897, with a triptych from the second half of the 16th century.
The Church of St Bartholomew in Lipowa, in Żywiec County, is a neo-Gothic brick church from the end of the 19th century, entered in the heritage register. It belongs to the Radziechowy deanery of the Diocese of Bielsko-Żywiec.
The church was built in 1894-1897, and the main elements of the furnishings were made in 1897-1900. It was consecrated on 20 June 1904 by Bishop Anatol Nowak.
It is a brick building, oriented, with a single nave. The chancel has one bay and a closure formed by five sides of an octagon, and a two-storey sacristy adjoins it on the north. The nave has three bays, with side entrances in the middle bay, and in front of it stands a tower on a square plan with a porch on the ground floor, crowned with a pyramidal helm roof. The interior is covered with cross vaults with transverse ribs, and a wooden music gallery hangs in the west bay of the nave. The windows are pointed-arched, and stained glass fills all the windows of the chancel and nave.
The furnishings are in the neo-Gothic style. A Gothic-Renaissance triptych from the second half of the 16th century stands out.
