A post-war parish church in the Morgi district of Mysłowice, built on the parishioners' initiative and consecrated in 1946.
The Church of St Hyacinth stands in the Morgi district of Mysłowice and belongs to the Mysłowice deanery of the Archdiocese of Katowice. It was built just after the Second World War, on the initiative of parishioners.
In 1945 parishioners from Brzezinka presented a design for a church, and the parish priest agreed to the construction of a branch church. The work was led by a Morgi resident, Franciszek Rygioł, the author of the design of the building's form.
Construction was completed after a year, and in November 1946 the new church was consecrated by Bishop Juliusz Bieniek. In March 1953, with the consent of the Primate, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, an independent parish was created at it.
In July 1956 three bells funded by parishioners were hung in the tower: Stanisław (450 kg), Antoni (250 kg) and Maryja (200 kg). A year later Bishop Herbert Bednorz blessed the organ.
In Mysłowice there is also the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The town also has the Missionary Museum in Mysłowice.
