A modernist brick church from 1937-1938 in Racibórz-Ocice, designed by Felix Hinssen.
St Joseph's Church in Racibórz-Ocice is a modernist brick church from 1937-1938, entered in the heritage register in 2012. It has a single nave and a single tower, and stands on Gdańska Street.
The church was built to a design by the Nysa architect Felix Hinssen. The work was led by Monsignor Carl Ulitzka, parish priest of St Nicholas's parish, and it was financed by parishioners and by Cardinal Adolf Bertram. The dedication took place on 23 October 1938, and the consecration, performed by Cardinal Bertram, on 29 May 1939.
An independent parish was established in 1941, and its first parish priest was Monsignor Bernhard Gade. It is a parish in the Racibórz deanery of the Diocese of Opole. Services are held in Polish and in German, which reflects the history of this part of Upper Silesia.
