A parish church built since 2003, with a chapel of relics of St Thomas the Apostle brought from Ortona.
St Thomas the Apostle's Church in Osiny is a modern parish church in Częstochowa County. It has been under construction since 2003, and its distinctive feature is the relics of its patron brought from Ortona.
Construction was started in 2003 to a design by the architect Krzysztof Zyskowski. On 20 September 2003 the Archbishop of Częstochowa, Stanisław Nowak, laid a foundation stone blessed by John Paul II. In 2004 the first part of the church was built, with the tower and the choir loft.
On 21 May 2006 relics of St Thomas the Apostle, brought from Ortona in Italy, where the saint's remains lie, were solemnly brought into the church. The chapel in which they are kept was blessed on 2 July 2011 by Archbishop Stanisław Nowak.
