A small museum in Koniaków from 1962 devoted to the lacemaker Maria Gwarek, with bonnets, shawls, ruffs and doilies.
The Lace Museum (Muzeum Koronki), whose full name is the Maria Gwarek Memorial Room (Izba Pamięci Marii Gwarek), is a small museum in Koniaków, in the Szańce hamlet. It is devoted to Maria Gwarek, an outstanding Koniaków lacemaker. It was established in 1962, after her death.
In the museum you can see items of clothing and objects made of lace: bonnets, shawls, ruffs, collars, decorations for bed linen, curtains and shelf doilies. One of the exhibits is an unfinished doily made of surgical thread that Maria Gwarek was making for Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.
Koniaków lacemaking was entered in 2017 on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The exhibits include lace items made in the village.
