A monument to the Częstochowa physician and social activist Władysław Biegański, by Wojciech Pondel, from 2008.
The Władysław Biegański Bench stands on Aleja Najświętszej Maryi Panny in Częstochowa, opposite the site of the former city hospital. The sculpture shows a seated physician with a book and a stethoscope.
Władysław Biegański was a physician and social activist. The monument was unveiled on 23 June 2008, on the 150th anniversary of his birth and the 90th anniversary of his death. The sculpture is by Wojciech Pondel.
The idea came from the Częstochowa Medical Society, which co-funded the work together with the city. Nearby is the Biegański library. The bench is close to the Bronisław Huberman Częstochowa Philharmonic and the Częstochowa Museum.
