A wooden manor house from the 18th century with a portico and a mansard roof, in a park with ponds; privately owned.
The manor house in Lipie is a wooden, single-storey building from the 18th century, surrounded by a park with ponds. It stands in Lipie in Kłobuck County and is now privately owned.
The manor belonged to the Poniński family, and at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries to Count Klemens Poniński. The indebted estate passed in 1829 to the Warsaw merchant Joachim Kempner. Later it went to the Steinhagen family, manufacturers from Westphalia linked with the paper industry. At the beginning of the 20th century one of them rebuilt the manor house and modernised the farm.
On the front the manor house has a four-column portico, and the central part is covered by a wooden mansard roof with dormer windows. Several ponds were laid out in the park, and a water tower was built, part of the manor's water supply system. The driveway is lined with an avenue of lime trees about 120 years old.
During the occupation it was the seat of a German administration, and after the war an agricultural cooperative, a cinema and a nursery school. In 1974 demolition was planned, which was avoided thanks to the efforts of Prof. Wiktor Zin. The manor house is listed in the municipal register of monuments.
