Eclectic palace from 1889 in Wierbka, today a ruin, surrounded by an English park.
The Moes Palace in Wierbka, in the municipality of Pilica, was built in 1889. Today it is a ruin, but it remains a monument listed in the register and part of a former palace complex with an English park.
The palace was built on the initiative of Aleksander Moes, who in 1894 married Janina Miączyńska. The couple had six children. The heritage register describes the building as a brick palace in the eclectic style.
The building is a ruin, so going inside is out of the question. The area is easy to combine with a visit to Pilica, where the castle in Pilica and the castle in Smoleń stand. Before setting out it is worth checking whether the ground around the ruin is accessible.
