A small museum of militaria in the Gardener's House by the castle park in Pszczyna.
The Museum of the Military History of Silesia in Pszczyna is housed in the neo-Baroque Gardener's House on the edge of the castle park. It opened on 9 November 2014 and is run by the “Pro Memoria” Association of the Battle of Pszczyna 1939.
The museum occupies the building where the court gardener once lived.
The house has a picturesque form with steep roofs and a pointed turret. The collections consist of militaria: weapons, ammunition and uniforms, as well as documents, photographs, maps and paintings.
The exhibition concerns the military history of the Pszczyna area.
The permanent and open-air exhibitions have the titles: “The Military History of the Pszczyna Land from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages”, “The Early Modern Period”, “The Turbulent Nineteenth Century”, “The Age of Two World Wars” and “The Development of Weapons over the Centuries”.
