A Dutch Neo-Renaissance palace from 1878, rebuilt from a 17th-century manor house, stripped in 1964 of its roofs, gables and towers.
The palace in Czekanów stands in Zbrosławice municipality, in Tarnowskie Góry County. It was originally a 17th-century manor house, which in 1878 was rebuilt into a palace in the Dutch Neo-Renaissance style.
The rebuilding was initiated by Karl II von Raczek. Above the entrance is an imposing cartouche with the arms of Eleonora von Oriola and her husband Karl III Kraft Arwed von Raczek, the first residents of the palace after the rebuilding.
In 1964 the steep roofs, gables and towers were removed, which devastated the architecture of the building. It therefore looks different today than in the 19th century.
