A Gliwice city park laid out in 1924 on the site of a former garden, modernised in 2008-2013.
Szwajcaria Park in Gliwice was laid out in 1924 on the site of a former garden and opened on 12 May 1926 under the German name Schweizerei.
The garden was originally part of the Gardel (Gardilla) estate. In the 18th century it belonged to Balthasar Ludwig von Larisch, and at the end of that century it was bought by the town. In 1924 the city authorities turned the garden into a park on the initiative of the councillor Juretzka. After 1945 the park began to decline.
From 2008 until August 2013 the park was modernised. Water plants were planted, lawns were laid out and a mini outdoor gym was installed.
