Regional museum in a merchant house from 1870 on Sławków's Market Square, with archaeological and mining items and keepsakes of the Jewish community.
The Regional Museum in Sławków is located at Rynek 9 and collects keepsakes from the history of the town and its surroundings. Today it is the Department of Past Culture of the Municipal Cultural Centre, which also houses a tourist information point.
The museum was founded in 1976 on the initiative of the local branch of the Olkusz Land Friends' Society. At first it occupied the historic building of a former inn, and in 1984 it moved to a merchant house from 1870.
The exhibitions cover the history of the region: archaeological finds from the local castle, the history of Sławków in the 20th century, mining and metallurgical traditions, crafts and trade. A separate strand is the history of Sławków's Jewish community, which is also recalled by the synagogue in Sławków.
