A municipal salt graduation tower on Małe Planty in Mikołów, chosen by residents in the Civic Budget.
The salt graduation tower on Małe Planty is a municipal graduation tower in the centre of Mikołów, in the Centrum district, right next to the historic market square. It has been in operation since 2021 and stands in a park that also has an outdoor gym and a playground.
The graduation tower was chosen by residents in the Civic Budget vote in 2018. According to the municipality, construction began in September 2020 on Małe Planty, a place in the very centre of town and yet quiet. The structure was built in two stages: in autumn the first module together with the installations and foundations for the second part, and in the spring of the following year the second module.
Małe Planty is a park and recreation complex laid out in a garden style. On the side of the southern gate, by the market square, there is a playground. The park was entered in the heritage register together with Duże Planty as a single park complex. Near Górnicza Street lies a pond into which the Aleksander stream flows.
